ROAMERS Rider Guide started as a way to collect the information that actually helped us on the road — then put it in one practical place where other riders could use it, contribute what they’ve learned, and help keep it current.

A long-distance Thailand–Malaysia return expedition combining northern roads, Isan, Thailand’s Gulf coast, Penang, the Andaman side and the historic Kanchanaburi region.

🏍️ ROAMERS
ROAMERS isn’t a formal club with a book full of regulations. We’re a group of mates brought together by motorcycles, travel and shared adventures.
These aren’t rules for the sake of having rules. They’re the principles that protect the character of the group and set out what being a ROAMER means.
Simple, clear and non-negotiable. Good people and a good attitude come first.
An original ROAMER may recommend or invite someone on a ride. That guest cannot invite another person. Future invitations remain with the original ROAMERS.
Once you say you’re in, the group plans around you. Genuine circumstances happen, but don’t commit casually or pull out because something better comes along.
Deposits and payments must be made by the agreed dates. Nobody else should have to cover your place or chase you for money.
Bring the correct licence, insurance, riding gear, documents, money and equipment. Your lack of preparation must not become everyone else’s problem.
There is nothing to prove. Ride safely, maintain sensible spacing and speak up if the pace, road or conditions are beyond your comfort level.
Use the agreed corner-marking and regrouping system. Nobody gets deliberately left behind.
The ride plan, safety calls and group decisions exist for a reason. Raise concerns constructively, then support the agreed decision.
Treat locals, accommodation, rental bikes and fellow travellers properly. What one ROAMER does reflects on all ROAMERS.
Help with planning, support others and bring some humour and goodwill. ROAMERS is a group of mates sharing an adventure, not a packaged tour.
