WHY RIDE
HERE?
Morocco’s Fly & Ride centre is Marrakech, with routes crossing the High Atlas toward Dadès, Ouarzazate and Merzouga. The landscape changes quickly from mountain tarmac to desert roads and, on some itineraries, piste or sand. That distinction matters more than the marketing label on the trip. A road-focused loop can suit an ordinary adventure motorcycle and independent planning; a route with remote piste requires the right tyres, range, recovery plan and confidence on loose surfaces.
Rental operators and self-guided route providers make independent travel possible, while supported or guided formats can be the better choice for remote desert sections. A short Atlas loop needs four to five days, but Marrakech–Merzouga and return deserves about a week. Spring and autumn are the usual planning windows, with heat, cold at altitude and sudden weather still requiring current checks. The page does not treat every desert image as a rideable motorcycle route. It shows the published surface guidance, flags secure parking as important and keeps operator claims at WEB CHECKED status unless firsthand evidence is later contributed and reviewed.
