Only what we need.

What we collect.
If you submit Local Intel or a route update, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email, rider date, location or route details and any supporting notes. Contact and expedition forms collect your name, email, message and the trip details needed to answer you.

Why we collect it.
We use this information to review contributions, prevent duplicates, contact you when clarification is permitted, moderate the rider resource, answer enquiries and maintain an audit trail of publishing decisions.

What may become public.
Practical Local Intel or route information may be edited and published after review. Private contact details, original submission history and moderation notes are not intended to be public. Public attribution is used only where appropriate and agreed.

Email updates.
If you explicitly subscribe, our email delivery provider stores your email to send occasional ROAMERS updates. This is separate from other site forms, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Service providers.
ROAMERS uses website hosting and database services to run the site and an email delivery service to send notifications and subscriptions. Information is shared with those services only as needed to operate these functions. External maps, social sites and operator links are governed by their own privacy practices when you visit them.

Retention.
We retain contribution and moderation records while they are reasonably needed to operate and protect the rider resource. Contact and enquiry information is kept only for legitimate operational follow-up and record keeping. We do not collect extra personal information simply because the technology permits it.

We do not sell personal information. If published Local Intel came from your submission, your email address is not published.

Planning saved on your device.
Some PLAN tools save progress locally in your browser. This is not a ROAMERS account and is not sent to us unless you separately submit a form or email.

Correction or removal requests.
To ask what personal information you submitted, correct it or request removal where appropriate, email roamersriderguides@gmail.com. Include enough detail for us to identify the relevant submission without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
