Santa Barbara – Chumash Highway & Santa Ynez Day Loop

Excellent 146 km day loop from Santa Barbara combining mountain, wine-country and coastal riding. Take CA-154 over San Marcos Pass through the Santa Ynez Mountains, with stops at historic Cold Spring Tavern and Lake Cachuma. Continue through Santa Ynez and Los Olivos, then loop through Buellton and Gaviota before returning to Santa Barbara along US-101. Mostly paved, flowing roads with plenty of bends and scenic stops. Allow half a day, or longer for lunch and exploring.
